The Rev. Francis M. Glynn, pastor of St. Anthony Church in Lowell, said the critics were employing tactics better suited to talk radio than theology.
''It doesn't sound too Christian to ascribe motives and not to try to understand that there was heartbreak involved in doing this,'' Glynn said.
This an arguement? First of all "Christian" is not an adjective. Note that Father Glynn does not meet the arguements, but belittles his opponents "tactics" and claims emotional distress. This is a textbook dissenter response.

The images of antiwar demonstrations across Europe could not look more meaningless in this context. The other night, a young hotel employee asked me emphatically: "Why do people in Europe want Saddam?" It was not a rhetorical question.
